The Community of South Beach - South Beach Marina and RV Complex

The northern section of the South Beach Community features an important area for business development along the Yaquina Bay. Travelers heading into South Beach on the bridge are rewarded with awesome views of the Yaquina Bay Jetty System and the South Beach Marina and RV Park Complex. The Port of Newport operates a variety of business interests in the South Beach Area. The Port of Newport leases land to several important organizations including the Oregon State University Hatfield Marine Science Center and the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Also, the Port of Newport runs the South Beach Marina and RV Park Complex. On the western end of the complex is a public fishing pier with cleaning stations located nearby for processing the daily catch of fish and crab. The pier heads out into the open waters of the Yaquina Bay and affords scenic views of the Yaquina Bay Bridge, the Coast Guard Station at Newport and the boating activities around the Newport Bayfront. The marina area with its 540 moorage slips offers many amenities including a marina office, a convenience store, a four-lane launch ramp, public restrooms, showers and laundry facilities, picnic bunkers, a full service fuel dock, and trailer and boat parking. In addition, the complex offers several RV parks for camping with full RV hook-up support.
