Lincoln Beach - Fishing Rock

The rock formations of Fishing Rock jut out into the waters of the Pacific Ocean, capping off the south end of the long contiguous beach strand that runs from the Salishan Spit. This sea swept headland has been incorporated within the Fishing Rock State Park and is accessible from a nature trail that runs west out to the rocky cliffs. A parking lot is located on the south end of the Fishing Rock State Park and serves as the trailhead for connecting to the nature path. The headland of Fishing Rock is a popular spot for its amazing ocean vistas and presents incredible views of the surrounding coastal shorelines. Also, Fishing Rock is well-liked for its ideal location for surf fishing off the rocks. The residential areas south of Fishing Rock include both county streets and a planned development named Fishing Rock. The Development at Fishing Rock is a gated subdivision with custom home sites offering oceanfront and ocean view amenities. During low tide conditions, the beach area below the cliffs becomes exposed and is accessible by a stairway system that is shared within the community. Access to the stairway is located at the north end of the development. The cliffs to the south of the Fishing Rock Development house one of Lincoln Beach’s main oceanfront lodging properties, a hotel with a popular restaurant for ocean view dining. The hotel overlooks the beach area of the Fogarty Creek State Recreation Site, the second Oregon State Park located within the Lincoln Beach Area.
