Gleneden Beach - Gleneden Beach State Recreation Site
The Gleneden Beach Community includes many residential housing choices located within Lincoln County jurisdiction zoned neighborhoods and other planned subdivisions completed by independent developers. The main section of Gleneden Beach includes a series of residential streets and neighborhoods sectioned off by the beach, Gleneden Beach Loop Road and the Gleneden Beach State Recreation Site. These residential county areas include ocean front homes as well as interior home sites located on the ocean side of Highway 101. One of the main appeals of these residential areas is the close proximity to the beach, in addition to several community beach access points shared within the local neighborhood. The main community beach access point is located at the Gleneden Beach State Recreation Site. Along with an asphalt path to the beach, this Oregon State Park offers several nice lawn areas for enjoying the sunshine and listening to the sounds of the ocean. Also, the park offers several picnic areas and a restroom building for changing clothes and toilet facilities. The beach along Gleneden Beach is especially wonderful for wave watching during the winter months and agate hunting after winter storms. This section of Gleneden Beach highlights the wonderful integration of limited business/commercial development and the surrounding quaint residential neighborhoods located within Lincoln County’s zoning jurisdiction.
