Devils Lake and Neotsu
The Devils Lake Recreation Area and the Devils Lake itself are one of the main water settings within Lincoln County. A portion of the lake is located within the jurisdiction boundaries of Lincoln County, while another portion is set within the city limits of Lincoln City. The 680-acre fresh water lake features a maximum depth of 22 feet, with an average depth of 10 feet. The name of the lake dates back to Indian Legend. The lake includes both residential neighborhoods and public parks for enjoying the many activities situated along this wonderful water setting. Key public parks include the Devils Lake State Park, the Holmes Road City Park, the Regatta City Park, and Sandpoint City Park. Key activities around Devils Lake include bird watching, fishing, boating, camping, swimming, picnicking and hiking.
