On the western end of this complex is a public fishing pier with cleaning stations located nearby for handling one’s daily catch of fish and crab. The pier heads out into the open waters of the Yaquina Bay affording scenic views of the Yaquina Bay Bridge, the Coast Guard Station at Newport and the boating activities occurring around the Newport Bayfront. The South Beach Marina Area includes 540 moorage slips plus other amenities including a marina office, a convenience store, a four-lane launch ramp, public restrooms and shower facilities, laundry services, picnic bunkers, a full service fuel dock, and trailer/boat parking.
