The Development of Pacific Shores - The Lost Creek State Recreation Site
Situated along the coastal bluffs, the Development of Pacific Shores is another subdivision located on the west side of Highway 101 built within the Community of South Beach. The Pacific Shores Development features several streets running along the ocean-facing bluffs as well as a couple of interior streets set amongst the coastal pines. The Development includes a trail system located at its north end that heads down to a recreation area with picnic tables and to a pathway leading to the beach. A small creek near this trail system flows towards the ocean adding to the area’s scenic qualities. Also, the subdivision is a popular location for recreational use aviators desiring a neighborhood area located nearby to the Newport Municipal Airport. Further south on Highway 101 is the Lost Creek State Recreation Site, an Oregon State Park offering lovely picnic grounds and access to the beach strand of South Beach. The Development of Lost Creek Estates is located on the east side of Highway 101, opposite the Lost Creek State Recreation Site. The community features individual home sites set within the coastal pines along with some of the home sites affording panoramic views of the coastline and the oncoming white water surf.
