City of Waldport - Crestview Hills Golf Course
The Old Town Waldport Community Area features a combination of residential developments intermixed together with commercial/retail oriented business services. The majority of the merchant services available within the City of Waldport are located in the Old Town Area or along the route of Highway 101. Also, this area is the location for the Waldport Heritage Museum, managed by the Alsi Historical and Genealogical Society. The museum offers informative displays about the history of the Alsea Bay Area in addition to housing a genealogy library. Due to its setting along the Alsea Bay Estuary, the Old Town Area hosts the facilities of the Port of Alsea as well. The hillsides surrounding the Alsea Bay contain many of Waldport’s residential areas including such popular neighborhoods as the Waldport Heights, Township 13, Ridgewood Acres, Fairway Heights and Crestview Hills. Yaquina John Point, a land point located to the south of the Alsea Bay Bridge is another residential area sited on the west side of the highway renown for its fabulous ocean views and its proximity to the Waldport Area Beach Strand. Open to the public, the Crestview Hills Golf Course offers a nine-hole course design with a par rating of 36 plus other amenities including a pro shop, golf instruction plus tournaments and league play.
