Neptune State Scenic Viewpoint - Strawberry Hill Picnic Area

The Neptune State Scenic Viewpoint is an Oregon State Park located on the northern coastline of Lane County. The park grounds are spread across several locations offering excellent outdoor picnicking as well as access to unspoiled pocket beaches and tide pool areas. The North Access Location of the park is set near the entry point where Gwynn Creek enters the ocean. The North Access Location includes picnic tables and picturesque views of Captain Cook Point. The second park location is situated on the south side of the historic Cummins Creek Bridge, completed in 1931 and designed by famed Bridge Architect Conde B. McCullough. This park location offers picnic tables, public restrooms and access to the beach area around Cummins Creek. Further south is the Strawberry Hill Picnic Area sited on the west side of Highway 101. This location provides outstanding seascapes on both ends of the park as well as being a great shoreline location for exploring tide pools and observing Harbor Seals in the wild in their haul-outs just offshore.
